In addition, Waveland\u2019s offshore customers will benefit from BrandSafway\u2019s experience in coatings and broader range of solutions, including scaffolding, insulation and fireproofing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Based in Eunice, Louisiana, Waveland is a maintenance-based coatings business holding long-term contracts with most of the large offshore platform owners, including major oil companies with deep-water assets, independent oil companies with shallow-water assets, and pipeline transmission companies. Founded in 1996 by Ed Caswell, the current president of Waveland Services, Inc., the company employs up to 200 people in peak season.<\/p>\n<p>Moving ahead, Caswell has agreed to manage <strong>Waveland, A BrandSafway Company<\/strong>, the new name of the combined Waveland-BrandSafway offshore operations. Caswell will report to Danny Schexnaydre, Regional Vice President of Louisiana for BrandSafway.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWaveland is a significant player in the offshore coatings business and a great fit for BrandSafway,\u201d said Schexnaydre. \u201cWe have similar operating philosophies with a passion for understanding customer needs and exceeding expectations. By leveraging the knowledge, capabilities and reputation of Waveland, we will be able to provide expanded coatings services to BrandSafway\u2019s offshore customers. At the same time, with our support, Waveland will now be able to offer its customers a broader inventory of access equipment and additional industrial services.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis acquisition is mutually beneficial for both BrandSafway and Waveland,\u201d agreed Caswell. \u201cWaveland has a highly experienced team with extensive knowledge in offshore surface preparation and coatings, which will complement the expertise that BrandSafway has in scaffolding, insulation and coatings.
